Back-End Developer

Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with front-end developers, designers, and product managers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Design, develop, and maintain server-side logic and APIs
Build and optimize database schemas, queries, and data flows for performance and scalability.
Integrate applications with third-party services and other web applications.
Ensure data security and implement best practices for data protection.
Implement caching, error handling, and data validation mechanisms.
Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines for smooth deployments.
Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade backend components and services.
Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.
Focus on optimizing application performance, security, and reliability.

Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Back-End Developer or in a similar role.
Proficiency in back-end languages and frameworks, such as Node.js, Express, Python, or Java.
Strong understanding of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
Knowledge of RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and API gateways.
Experience with containerization tools such as Docker, and orchestration with Kubernetes is a plus
Familiarity with cloud services like AWS, Azure, or GCP, and deployment best practices.
Experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline).
Understanding of security best practices in server-side development, including authentication and authorization.
Ability to write and maintain unit and integration tests using testing frameworks (e.g., Mocha, Jest).
Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaborative development practices.
Strong proficiency with Git and version control workflows.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
Strong communication skills and eagerness to learn and apply new technologies.
